I can’t believe this weekend marks our one year wedding anniversary! There are so many great memories from that weekend, it was very challenging to put together only 10 favorites! As we get ready to head out to the Boca Raton Resort for the night, we can’t help but look back at our favorite moments from our big day, here are my 10:
10. Waking up to this view with my mom the morning of the wedding, laughing, being giddy and enjoying the quiet time together before all the festivities began!
9. Having an early morning dance session with the only girl who can upstage the bride on her wedding day, the flower girl 🙂
8. Receiving a beautiful note from my soon-to-be husband before meeting him at the end of the aisle.
7. Walking down the aisle with my dad, desperately trying to keep it together!
6. Seeing all of the details come to life, trust me, the stress and attention to all the little details before the big day is worth it!
5. Celebrating with 120 of our closest family and friends
4. Having our guys and gals stand by our side
3. Getting cheered on by complete strangers (and a police officer!) as we drank champagne out of the bottle, sitting in the backseat of the Rolls. #nojudgingallowed
2. Saying I do and kissing my husband for the first time
1. I have found the one whom my soul loves – Song of Soloman 3:4
Now, I’m off to pop some bubbly and celebrate our first year of marriage!
It’s Friday and we have two reasons to celebrate today! If you follow me on Instagram, you already know Mike and I purchased our first home together!!!! We have been sooooooo excited about the new home, we already have our project plan outlined and have been busy cleaning and moving in!
Since the new home list is rather long, I’m going to be quick. This font favorite was used on our wedding design to provide a contrast to the soft, whimsical Anna Clara font I shared last week.
Josefin Sans is a free font from Font Squirrel with a geometric, elegant, kind of vintage design. To truly highlight the clean, sophistication of the font, I decided to use all caps on the wedding invites. This created a dramatic difference between the whimsical Anna Clara and the sophistication of Josefin Sans.
Here’s a closer look!
What do you think? Do you like the modern look of Josefin Sans? How do you plan on using this font?
PS – We will be providing design inspiration and our DIY home progress on the blog, check back next week for a behind the scenes look of our new home!
Happy Friday Friends!
As you may or may not know, I am undoubtedly a font snob – I love a good font – it helps tell the story and provoke feelings well before reading the text. Since I have this obsession with hand-letting, calligraphy and fonts I figured I would start a series and share with you my favorite fonts each Friday as part of my Friday Font Favorites!
To kick it off, I’ve totally been crushing on two fonts lately: Isabella Script and Neutra Text Light
I’ve been working on my sweet friend, Ashley’s wedding brand and we both agreed upon the pairing of these two fonts for her designs. The handwritten calligraphy font juxtaposed with a clean, modern, geometric sans serif font creates a perfect harmony for her wedding details. A beach-side formal wedding, with touches of fun starfish details!

And here’s a sneak peek of her website I am currently working on!
To purchase and download these fonts go here (Isabella Script is currently 40% off on Creative Market!) and here.
What do you think? What would you use these fonts for?
A couple weeks ago my future sister-in-law got married! I had the honor of designing menu, table and place cards for her big day. With the beach as a backdrop to their wedding in Palm Coast, Florida and blue/green colors as their accent, a watercolor theme for the paper goods seemed like the perfect fit! To really make these little beauties work, I paired a fun script with a serif font to balance the design. There’s so many great fonts out there, especially for weddings, but some feel a little overplayed, that’s why I loved this combo so much, it was something I haven’t seen before!

I hope you enjoy these fonts as much as I do! Happy Sunday!
I am ecstatic with the way our engagement photos came out, we had over 200 photos to choose from for the save the date and I just couldn’t decide! That’s how much I liked all of our photos!
To say that I am thrilled with our photographer is an understatement, Life and Love Studios has done a phenomenal job! From the first time I met Jay (husband + videographer) at the bridal show, he somehow managed to make me feel at ease and kept the conversation going regardless of the fact that everyone was sardined into the venue. People were pushing and shoving to get to the next booth, but Jay continued to talk to me about how him and his wife work, what they do and the beautiful moments they capture. Upon our first meeting with both Alison (wife + photographer) and Jay, we sat there and talked for more than 2 hours. They got to know us, how we met, what we did, what we enjoyed and vice versa.
We decided to do our engagement shoot almost a year to the date of our wedding day, it was a gorgeous spring day in St. Augustine and Alison was such a pleasure to work with during the shoot. Here’s a preview of some of the photos:

We used Minted.com for the save the dates, I love the quality of their paper and fell in love with the gold foil love design! Check it out:
Minted.com even reached out to us, asking to use our save the date photo on their website : D – all the credit goes to Alison for capturing such a beautiful picture!
I can’t thank Alison enough for these incredible photos!
